WOMEN HELPING WOMEN
Join Our Team

This Work Is Hard. It Should Also Be Meaningful. At Empower, It Is Both.
Empower Counseling was built around a single conviction: that every woman deserves a therapist who truly understands where she is — and that building a practice capable of that requires a team of clinicians who are genuinely excellent, deeply curious, and committed to growing. If that sounds like you, keep reading.
What We Are Looking For
Not every therapist is the right fit for Empower. That is not a judgment — it is just honesty, and honesty is one of the things we lead with here.
We are not looking for someone who wants to coast on what she already knows. We are looking for a clinician who holds herself to a high standard — not out of perfectionism, but out of genuine care for the women she serves. Someone who finds the work interesting. Who stays curious about her clients and about herself. Who understands that good therapy is not just supportive conversation — it is evidence-based, values-driven, and built to create real and lasting change.
If you want to be comfortable, unchallenged, and exactly the same clinician in five years that you are today — Empower is not the right place for you.
If you expect more from yourself than that, it might be exactly the right one.
What We Believe & Practice
We Lead With Our Values.
At Empower, we do not just teach our clients to live by their values. We try to live by ours.

Courage
Real growth — for clients and for clinicians — requires moving toward what matters even when it is uncomfortable. We ask that of the women we serve, and we ask it of ourselves.

Compassion
We meet every woman exactly where she is, without judgment and without rushing her forward. The same standard applies to how we treat each other.

Honesty
We do not offer empty reassurance — to clients or to colleagues. We celebrate what is working, name what is not, and trust that the people on this team can handle both.

Presence
Good therapy requires a therapist who is fully there. We protect the conditions that make that possible — for our clients and for our team.

Values-led care
We do not decide what a woman's life should look like. Our job is to help her get clear on what matters most — and then help her build a path toward it. The direction is always hers. We help her see it more clearly and move toward it with less fear in the way.

Growth without perfection
We pursue the highest clinical standards because the women we serve deserve care that actually works. But we hold that pursuit with openness, not rigidity. We keep learning because our clients deserve better every time.

What It Looks Like to Work Here.
Empower offers 1099 positions with genuine autonomy and flexibility. You set your schedule. You bring your clinical voice. You do not answer to a system that treats you like a cog in it.
What you get in return is a practice with a clear identity, a strong clinical foundation, and a team of women who take this work seriously. Every therapist at Empower has pursued training well above her graduate education — because depth matters, and because the women who come to us deserve someone who has gone deep into the specific territory they are navigating.
There is no ceiling here. Your contributions to your clients, your community, and your field are limited only by what you are willing to put in. We will not hold you back. We will expect a lot from you. Those two things are not in conflict — they are, in fact, the same thing.
How to Apply
We review every application carefully. We are not looking to fill a seat — we are looking for the right person.
To apply, complete the form below and attach your resume. Your resume should include your educational background, credentials, certifications, and relevant clinical experience. The questions in the form are an opportunity — use them to share your therapeutic philosophy, tell us why Empower, and describe the kind of impact you want to make in this field. Please also share your availability and any specific considerations you would want us to know.
There are no right answers. There is only honest, clear, specific writing — and we will be able to tell the difference.
