Hope and a Brighter Future
Kristine meets her clients, whether child, adolescent, or young adult, at that individual’s own level, learning what it is like to live in their shoes, how they are experiencing life, and what they see as their difficulties. She understands that sometimes kids and teens just need someone outside of their own family to listen, with whom they can talk things through. She also knows sometimes they need more…like healthy coping skills, and behavior strategies. Either way, Kristine is there for her clients, to meet their needs and to help each reach their goals for counseling.
More About Kristine
She has worked in the mental health field for over 5 years as a Clinical Research Coordinator at UAB in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology where she coordinates clinical trials to better understand and treat mental health concerns such as Treatment Resistant Depression, Trauma, and Suicide in both adolescents and adults. Kristine has experience providing individual and group career counseling to teenagers and adults with physical and mental disabilities.
Kristine brings with her a wealth of scientific knowledge, especially knowledge about how the brain works, which is invaluable in counseling children and adolescents.
In her free time, Kristine is pursuing her yoga teacher training certification and learning DIY projects for her home.
